Chapter 2::


Farah:

Pain. Relentless pain. My feet ached from walking for miles on end. My stomach growled, beckoning me to eat. My throat was dry and my voice hoarse when I sang beautiful melodies to myself.

I finally found an end to the tedious forest and the primitive animal cries. Up ahead lay a clearing of rolling hills and wildflowers. In the distance, I heard horses neigh and men chatter. I used my power of seeing beyond to see what I would encounter in advance.

I saw a legion of warriors, returning from a long journey- or even battle. Upon a pure snow white unicorn sat their leader. He was clad in chain mail and red armor with a golden griffin etched onto it. The human man, or King I should say had light blond hair and crystal blue eyes. He sat atop his unicorn with bravery and composure.

Next to him on the right was a muscular centaur and to the left, what looked like a commander or someone of high ranking. The boy had dark brown hair and mysterious brown eyes. He looked somewhat anxious, and yet calm. Overall, this legion of humans looked kind. Surely they wouldn’t harm a mourning elf.

I walked down the beaten dirt path hoping to test their compassion. As I continued on my journey, I tripped over an upraised root. Ugh! Cursed root!

I fell to the ground as I clutched my ankle out of affliction. Soreness throbbed like an everlasting burning fire. I just sat there, in the dirt and helpless. I knew I wouldn’t die- obviously. Fortunately, I didn’t need medical attention either. I sat there waiting until my energy would heal my sprained ankle.

Waiting. I was beginning to fret and worry as the warriors neared closer and closer to me. I had to continue to lay there waiting until my ankle healed itself. The hot sun kept beating on my fair skin, which didn’t help the situation I was in.

“May I help you miss?” I heard a kind voice question me. I looked up into an endless ocean of blue. I wanted to lose myself in that blue and drift away at sea.

Peter:

My men and I were on our way returning from a minor conflict with Balmora. Then I saw her. A foreign elf just lying helpless in the middle of the dirt path. Edmund had warned me countless times to not get involved in the affairs of strangers. All that just went in one ear and out the other. I am High King- he couldn’t boss me around.

“May I help you miss?” I asked her kindly, for I truly meant it. I could feel Edmund glare at me for my action, we were on a schedule and he didn’t want me to ruin his punctual manner.

As she lifted her head unto me, my heart melted and butterflies were caught in my throat. The elven girl had silky raven black hair and stunning sapphire blue eyes. Her fair skin looked so delicate and smooth, but stained by numerous tears.

Before she could speak to me, she fainted under the heat of the persistent sun. I fearfully looked towards Orious, my right hand man. He knew what to do. He walked over to her and gently picked her up and carried her bridal style for the rest of the journey home.

yeah two days in a row it has been a FLCTB
